Shelterbelts occupy about 60,000 hectares in Voronezh region. They are represented by different structures and created a varied assortment of trees and offset schemes. Therefore, there are differences in the environmental reclamation properties of these tree plantations. The optimal on the effect on the velocity of the wind flow are linear tree plantings with wind-blows artificial structures where their effective action extends to 38 Н heights. Among shelterbelts in forest-agricultural landscapes in dry hot weather during the day there is an increase relative humidity 2-7%, its temperature by 0,5-1,5 ° and reduced surface temperature of the soil at 1-2 °. During winter, protective plants redistribute snow cover on agricultural fields. Best forest belts in the forest-steppe conditions are tree plantations of wind-blows and openwork structure. In the soil section indicators of cellulose-destroying and nitrate-fixing soil activity are increased near shelterbelts. Under the protection of shelterbelts the harvest are increased as well as his qualitative and structural indicators by 8,5-21%.
